This October we will be holding our second butchery class, hosted by our head butcher, Glen Amos.
This fantastic class will give you the opportunity to develop new knife skills, butchering ½ a lamb, and learn from a highly skilled butcher, all in a small group of 6-8 people.
Upon arrival you will be given a Blackwells apron (which you can take home with you after), cutting knifes and safety equipment.
The class will begin with a health and safety talk, ensuring everyone feels safe and comfortable handling the butchers’ knives. A small ‘Health & Safety Statement’ will then need to be signed to acknowledge these measures have been covered.
Glen will then put his knife skills into action with a demonstration on butchering the lamb, with his 16+ years of industry experience you’re in great hands.
Now the fun begins!
It’s time to get hands-on with butchering the lamb yourself, with Glens watchful eye guiding and educating you as you go along, ensuring you’re carving correctly and skilfully.
At the end of the evening, you’ll be able to take home all the lamb you have cut, which will include:
Legs, Shoulder, Chops, Rump, Neck Fillet, and Mince.
