The Blackwell family has been farming in the Coggeshall area for four generations. Today, Howard Blackwell and his eldest son George head up the farm and the businesses that are now established there.
In 2004, Howard & George Blackwell, setup the Rare Breed Meat Company to service leading butchers and food halls who directly seek high quality locally produced meat for which they could provide full provenance back to the source.
With a fleet of vans, The Rare Breed Meat Company’s wholesale operation is a well known supplier to many great quality butchers in London and the East of England region.
The Rare Breed Meat Company is proud to supply meat and game to some of the best restaurants in London, including The Ned, Trinity, Hawksmoor and many more. Also supplying to establishments like Dugard & Daughters, Provenance Village Butcher, P J Dale and various other butchers.
